Thinking of pool, snookers, 8-ball? You're right. There's a game called Billiards, but how about a billiard? What does it mean? Apparently, it also means a quadrillion or 10¹⁵ (1,000,000,000,000,000). A more familiar word is googol (10¹⁰⁰), popularized by Google.
